The National Association for Information Destruction's board of directors has approved the highest ever budget for the organization, which represents the data destruction industry.

The $3 million budget includes four video productions for sales and for promoting the importance of NAID AAA Certification for customer's compliance strategies. The money for the videos was included in the budget because of the success of the NAID's Customer Employee Training DVD, which was released in May.

Also approved in the budget is a consumer attitudes study that will be conducted in Australia, two studies that will examine the disposal habits of residents of London and Madrid, a web-based training program for member employees, a marketing program for law firms and the continued promotion of the recently released Office Marketing Program and the Customer Employee Training Program. Additionally, the budget included money for the launch of NAID-Asia that will include a series of meetings to be held throughout the region this fall. Dues were not increased for the third year in a row.
