Secure hard Drive Wiping is becoming a greater need for businesses today than ever before. We take your hard disks, and make sure that all of the information is erased securely and absolutely. Want to take it one step further? We offer hard drive destruction services that will ensure that your hard disk is destroyed completely.
With almost 20 years of experience, DMD Systems has created a processing and destruction facility that meets the requirements of the National Association for Information Destruction (NAID) and many other regulatory bodies. Our data destruction process is Department of Defense (DoD 5220.22-M) compliant and offers on of three methods: data wiping ,data destruction, or data wiping & destruction. DMD Systems uses network based software that allows for the drive to be overwritten 3 times with 1's and 0's in a random sequence. Drives that cannot be wiped are destroyed through mechanical destruction.
Internal Security
DMD Systems Recovery's facility has 24-hour security monitoring through ADT and on-site video monitoring at both entries and in the drive storage areas. All "dirty" hard drives are stored in locked cages that can only be accessed by management at the time of data destruction.
DMD Systems also has software that tracks each drive from the computer that it is removed from all the way through to the end of its cleansing process. This allows you to rest assured that each computer, has had its drive removed and sanitized.
In addition to facility security and software tracking, DMD Systems Recovery also practices a selective hiring process. DMD has offered their services to many Fortune 1000 Companies and Government Agencies, which require us to perform criminal and professional background checks on any potential candidate for employment. As added protection, DMD Systems Recovery employees do not have direct access to customer information. All data wiping systems auto boot to the data destruction software, only allowing the employee to sanitize the drive or exit the system.
DMD Systems Recovery's disposal process and equipment complies with the following standards:
- PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry) Data Security Standard
- NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) Guidelines for Media Sanitization
- NIST SP 800-36
- NIST SP 800-88
- HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act)
