We demonstrate our commitment to excellent practices in ITAD and as a business by maintaining specific certifications that apply to our work both onsite at our Tempe, Arizona facility and offsite at our customers.
We consider these certifications to be mandatory for responsible ITAD services. These include:NAID AAA Certification
DMD is certified for both onsite and offsite secure data destruction. Data destruction includes software enabled wiping or physical destruction.
Being able to provide the same level of security and outcomes in our facility or in our customer's facility or their co-location facility offers our customers the greatest flexibility of choice. Every person, onsite or offsite is individually accredited by NAID.
NAID is an international trade association for organizations that provide data destruction services. AAA Certification demonstrates a firm’s commitment to best practices in the sanitization or physical destruction of electronic storage media.
DMD is certified as an R2 company (sometimes referred to as responsible recycling certification). This is a company level certification to ensure we have strategies for reuse, materials recovery, and disposal. Not only do we have documented strategies, but also aligned policies on managing used and end-of-life electronics equipment, components and materials.
The R2 certification, or Responsible Recycling, is a commitment to ensuring the safe disposal of electronic waste both in terms of recycling and reuse. The program was developed by key industry stakeholders including original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and leaders in the recycling industry.
DMD maintains two separate ISO certifications: ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Both of these certifications demonstrate our commitment to documented processes to improve our business operations.
ISO 14001 is considered the international standard for environmental management systems (EMS) and specifies the requirements for the formulation and maintenance to control your environmental aspects, reduce impacts and ensure legal compliance.
ISO 45001 standard for occupational health and safety (OH&S).
The International Organization of Standardization works with standards institutes in over 150 countries to develop technology and product standards.
DMD believes strongly in the role of businesses as a mechanism to improve society. While we have been active with charitable foundations and other philanthropic endeavors over the years, we decided to formalize our belief and opinion.
We formalized our belief by becoming a Certified B CorporationTM in 2020. This is a commitment to operate our business to meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability to balance profit and purpose.
We maintain a physical presence in Tempe, Arizona. If you want to see more of it, every picture on this website was taken in that facility (or in an approved client or co-location facility). Or we are happy to give you a secure tour of the premise - health permitting.
