DMD operates from a strict commitment to our environment. We prioritize the repurpose and reuse of technology for the good of our world and our clients. For items that are beyond repair, refurbishment. We first attempt to harvest any usable components that may be repurposed and introduced into the circular economy. From there, we recycle. To do this responsibly, we adhere to all federal and state legislation, plus science-based recommendations to best protect our world.

E-Waste

E-waste, or Electronics Waste, is electronic items with no residual value for full reuse or repurpose. Improper disposal of these items contaminates our world. We offer collection, removal, and disposal. We dismantle the product into its base parts, components, and materials.

Raw Materials

The most effective way to recycle is to break down the item to its base materials. We perform the labor-intensive work to dismantle and sort IT assets into raw materials like steel, aluminum, plastic, circuit boards, etc. Items like circuit boards are then sent to specialty dismantlers who harvest microprocessors and further smelted to recover the precious metals.

Hazardous Materials

While we prefer not to receive hazardous materials, we recognize when we commit to help our clients COMPLETELY, we fulfill that commitment.

For items like CRTs, PCBs, we have specific ways to handle or additional vendors that we utilize so you don't have to worry, and the compliant disposal is guaranteed.

R2v3 Logo Responsible Recycling, or R2, is the leading global certification standard for electronics repair, reuse, and recycling. The R2 Standard establishes strict requirements for environmental protection, data security, worker health and safety, and downstream vendor accountability.

R2-certified facilities are independently audited to ensure documented processes, transparency, and compliance across the entire electronics lifecycle. DMD has maintained R2 certification since 2012 and continues to strengthen our operational controls to deliver secure, compliant, and measurable IT Asset Disposition (ITAD) outcomes.

We believe certified providers are essential in enterprise ITAD programs. Independent third-party audits provide the verification organizations need to manage risk, protect data, and maintain defensible reporting.

Aligned with the R2 framework, DMD prioritizes reuse whenever possible and operates under a zero landfill policy.
