DMD Spans the Enterprise

Three Primary ITAD Solution Categories

DMD provides ITAD services across the enterprise, and find great commonality across all asset categories. However, we believe that the solutions are best grouped by IT asset type. There are three core asset types and solution categories:

The DMD Enterprise Agreement

DMD believes strongly in comprehensive ITAD solutions. Specifically, the secure elimination of data, the responsible disposition of electronics, and the adherence to compliance, is not something to reevaluate every time an IT asset needs to be actioned. Instead, a solution should span those three categories for all your IT assets, for comfort and ease.

This is the outcome of an Enterprise agreement.

All Equipment When we say all, we mean all. Who needs to find an ancillary service for a single instance or a small unique subset of your IT footprint?
All Locations

A single ITAD process and provider for all your locations including Data Centers, Offices, and home-based workers.

Predefined Terms Determine the right solution when the need is not urgent. Thoughtfully generate process and procedures for optimal outcomes.
Complete Responsibility Rely on a provider who takes responsibility for security, the environment, and compliance.

Data Center

Our Data Center solutions usually involve our complete range of services. We work with data center managers, facility directors, and site leads in the planning stage to minimize production and facility disruption. We utilize checklists to ensure all access components are discussed including appropriate vehicle space, server lifts, and the necessary personnel depending on the scope of the project.

Our project manager or coordinator orchestrates the timeline and resources throughout the entire process, limiting the time and effort required from your team. Our technicians safely remove the various assets with the proper equipment including floor coverings and other protective measures to avoid damage to the facility or equipment. Each item is cataloged prior to leaving the facility for further reconciliation. In coordination with our logistics provider, we provide safe and secure transportation back to our facility for secure data destruction, even including GPS tracking devices for ongoing visibility.

Upon receipt at our secured facility, we reconcile the equipment, and thoroughly audit the individual components of the servers or storage arrays. The data-bearing devices are then overwritten based on your security policy, whether to NIST 800.88r1 or DoD compliance. And if you don’t have a policy, we’re happy to make recommendations based on your business. Once the data is eliminated the assets are dispositioned for remarketing or recycling based on value, age, and policy.

Ongoing visibility of the status is provided via a reporting portal, which also provides a Certificate of Destruction. And if you desire the wipe logs for proof, we have those too.

Often, we must work in unison with our customers to manage multi-site decommission events, often taking place simultaneously to meet targeted removal dates and physically migrate gear still in use while performing disposition services on the retired hardware.

End User Compute

We typically see one of two full solutions deployed: campus or office-based solutions and remote user solutions for corporate-liable desktops, laptops, printers, and monitors for refreshes.  Office solutions often include relocations.

Our coordination team coordinates the resources for decommissioning, inventory, and shipment. We often accommodate special needs including after-hours access, rush deadlines, and onsite data erasure. The equipment is safely removed for transport. When the equipment reaches DMD, we catalog the assets and process them according to predefined workflows resulting in data-free assets ready for their next life.

Our remote return options provide the same level of assurance our programs provide in an office environment, just with individual prepaid and labeled return kits shipping to each individual user, including a how-to video for secure return.

With more than 20 customizable reporting options our secure reporting portal allows for total visibility of your assets as they move through the ITAD process and easy access to a record or all recycled assets.

Complete Responsibility for

Mobility

Mobility services are offered directly from the corporate campus or individual residence pick-up.

Secure shipping kits are provided to either location type with resource assistance available as necessary. Shipping kits are deployed, tracked closely via a digital portal, and reconciled against customer inventories on arrival to ensure alignment.

We work in concert with our customers to disposition devices locked, physically damaged, or remotely managed thru an enrollment program. DMD’s mobile device team provides certified data sanitization or environmentally complaint dismantle & recycle for devices that cannot be certified as wiped.
